A massive hit :-)
My little man loves those frozen animal shapes from supermarket as an occasional treat with fish fingers, so I thought I'd try these as a home made version he can have more often! Instead of piping I made into little marble sized balls using my hands. Cooked in 15mins.
I've previously tried the salmon version of these which were also a hit. I think I'm going to try these again with more veg! Perhaps grated courgette as I've got a glut in the garden.
I'm going to freeze these, cooked, in batches wrapped in greaseproof paper in a Tupperware tub. I'd guess defrost in fridge overnight then just warm briefly to serve.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07651516248995791458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8186317477426831911.post-86529493082075654642015-07-04T14:44:14.800+01:002015-07-04T14:44:14.800+01:00Yum! I used to but the extortionately expensive packs of organic flapjack type bars, but these are loads better. I cook a batch, keep a few out and freeze the rest. After chopping into small bars I wrap each bit individually in bit of greaseproof paper before putting in a tub in the freezer. That way it's really easy to grab one out in the morning, ready for snack time later.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07651516248995791458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8186317477426831911.post-26680157184874165042014-11-09T19:03:10.375+00:002014-11-09T19:03:10.375+00:00Ok found a conversion so 1-400 gram tin is close t...Ok found a conversion so 1-400 gram tin is close to 1 -16 ounce can. You could substitute for smaller pieces of stewing beef or beef cheeks but then it would be more like a stew than a pot roast.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12019188687429455091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8186317477426831911.post-71809278187336887252014-11-08T20:40:24.381+00:002014-11-08T20:40:24.381+00:00Thank you!Thank you!Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12019188687429455091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8186317477426831911.post-37118868366450473142014-11-08T20:40:11.822+00:002014-11-08T20:40:11.822+00:00Sorry it took me so long to reply, I'm not wri...Sorry it took me so long to reply, I'm not writing on this blog anymore but I still pop in from time to time. Yes canned salmon would work and the good thing about canned salmon rather than canned tuna is it still contains Omega 3. If you (or your child) are ok with it, canned salmon also often contains bones which are fairly soft and you can crush them and still eat them. Might sound awful but a great source of calcium.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12019188687429455091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8186317477426831911.post-1018185600069705752014-11-08T20:38:09.188+00:002014-11-08T20:38:09.188+00:00Hi Shilo, I'm not sure where you are in the wo...Hi Shilo, I'm not sure where you are in the world but in the UK, tinned tomatoes come in 400g tins or cans.
